Light is one of the most important elements in an interior. This image proves it for me.
On www.interieurindex.nl I collect images and stories. Sets of two images are added every week, forming an image diary. Have a look or download and print a poster for yourself: Poster 1 - Poster 2
Together with designer Koen Koevoets (Koen&Co) I worked on the realization of the exhibition “The voice of clay”, a tribute to Yova Raevska to mark the 100th birth anniversary of this artist.

At night all things look the same. With the absence of light, the color disappears. What is left is shape, texture and reflection of light. NOX is a multidisciplinary exhibition, curated by Niek Schoenmakers and Marleen Kurvers.

During the 25th edition of the Biennale Interieur I show the EPIC family in Kortrijk.
The family of three is selected to be part of 'The Floor Is Yours', a gathering of young talent and designer-driven labels that exemplify a new way of doing business.
For three years I worked together with the Belgium based company ZET furniture to develop the EPIC. So there is no better place than Kortrijk to introduce the EPIC.
You will find us in Hall 3 stand F3-09 - October 14-23. I hope to see you there.
After the introduction in Milan, the EPIC family will be on show during Design District - Zaandam. EPIC is the result of an intensive cooperation between Marc and the Belgium furniture brand Z-editions. Marc is the first Dutch designer to join the team, for that reason Design District is the perfect event to present the models to the Dutch market.
Distinctive back
The EPIC’s back splits the frame in two and gives the model its distinctive look. The round and lascivious shape of the back and seat make it a modern, allround chair for everyday use. The collection comes in oak and can be partly upholstered (seat) or painted in color, offering a world of possibilities at home or in public spaces.
You will find Z-editions at Stand S22 | S23 - Visit www.designdistrict.nl for all the details
Download your digital EPIC brochure here
All EPIC models are available in the 3D Warehouse (Sketchup)
Titled "Masterly - The Dutch in Milano" designers, producers and design agencies presented themselves in the center of Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2016.
The first edition of the Dutch pavilion was a huge success. Masterly was one of the must-sees. During this unique event I introduced the EPIC family, a series of three chairs I developed together with the Belgian brand Z-editions.
Also the Slide mirror I developed with DeKnudt mirrors, and the Hole chair for Spoinq where on show. - www.masterly.nu
After Maison et Objet, Spoinq presented their collection during the Stockholm Furniture Fair. The HOLE chair got introduced to the Scandinavian design fans! I got on the plane and visited them. For me it was a great opportunity to meet new brands and pick up new trends...
This coming edition of Maison & Objet - Paris the Dutch brand Spoinq will launch the HOLE chair. After months of testing, shaping and waiting I'm happy to show you the result of our teamwork.
A surprise is one of the key elements that make people stop, turn their head and have a closer look. The legs of the HOLE chair have this effect on people. As a designer I like to team up with committed brands and manufactures to created outstanding interior products to be enjoyed. I think the HOLE chair is a surprising new chair that is comfortable and looks great too.
Visit Spoinq during Maison et Objet and meet the HOLE chair in Hall 5 B - Stand E47 or visit www.spoinq.nl
